Do You Take My Insurance?
Our Largo, FL, dental office is contracted with most PPO insurance plans. Because we know most people do not like to be forced by insurance companies to choose from a list of healthcare providers, our office has chosen to become an “unrestricted provider” of dental services.
What this means is that even if we may not be on your list we can still see you as a patient and provide the best quality dentistry possible. We will always estimate for you your co-pay, if any, and help estimate how much your insurance may cover or reimburse back to you. We also offer a choice of several payment options.
In essence, you pay our fee for services (we always give you an estimate up front), we will ask for that payment, and then work with you to help get your insurance company to send their contracted fees back to you. If you would like, our Insurance/Financial Coordinator would be happy to review your dental plan with you.

If you prefer, financing is another option. Our office has a long standing relationship with CareCredit, a company that offers monthly payments.
Membership Program
For those without traditional dental benefits such as insurance, we offer an annual membership in the Piper Family Dentistry Wellness Plan. Benefits include reduced fees on most services including teeth cleanings, exams, X-rays, and other forms of dental treatment. Unlike dental insurance, our Wellness Plan has no required deductibles, no calendar year maximum limitations, no qualifications or pre-existing condition exclusions, no need for pre-determinations, no restrictions on cosmetic services, or any other red tape that can sometimes make dental insurance reimbursement confusing and annoying.
That’s because our Wellness Plan is not dental insurance – it is a membership plan that we are bringing right to you without any third-party interference or limitations!

Making an Appointment
It is easy to make an appointment for your initial examination and dental treatments with Piper Family Dentistry. Simply call 727-564-9677 and one of our friendly team members will be happy to assist you. If you schedule an appointment and something comes up, please call and cancel 24 hours in advance so that we can accommodate other patient requests.
What to Expect
Walk into our lobby where you will be greeted by our friendly team. We will provide you with new patient paperwork that includes a health questionnaire, request for your insurance information and contact information. We will also provide you with information to familiarize you with our office and how we handle things like patient privacy.
Initial Examination
Your initial dental exam will take around one hour. The experienced team at Piper Family Dentistry will ask you questions, get to know your oral hygiene routine, and listen to your health concerns. We believe in educating patients and empowering them to make good choices to improve their oral health. We will demonstrate how to properly care for your teeth and make additional suggestions as needed. Our dental hygienist will clean your teeth then Dr. Piper will complete your examination and make recommendations for proposed dental treatments.
Pain Concerns
We work to ensure our patients feel comfortable, and that includes minimizing their pain as much as possible. If you are undergoing a dental procedure, Dr. Piper will meet with you to discuss your pain tolerance and create a plan for pain management. Working together, we will treat your dental health problems in a way that minimizes pain and enables you to get back to your life faster.

Our pricing structure is designed to ensure that patients are able to receive the high quality dental care they deserve. If your dental insurance will not cover all of your dental treatments, we will work with you to identify a payment solution. We are health care professionals first and will work with you to make sure you receive the treatment you need.
